June 24, 2009 Superior Diesel Adds Yanmar Industrial Diesel Engines to Product LineupSuperior Diesel has completed an agreement with Yanmar America Corporation to become a full service distributor of the Yanmar industrial diesel engine products in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.Yanmar is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty industrial engines for a variety of off-highway applications. The Yanmar product line includes air-cooled industrial diesel engines ranging from 4.7 - 9.1 hp, (3.5 - 6.8 kW) and liquid cooled diesel engines ranging from 13.7 - 83.5 hp, (10.2 - 62.3 kW). The engines are offered in both variable speed and constant speed generator drive configurations. April 30, 2007Superior Diesel Completes Launch of John Deere Tier III Engine Packages Above 100 HPSuperior Diesel has completed design and testing efforts for all open and enclosed power units featuring John Deere Tier III Diesel Engines above 100 HP.The power units were designed in-house using Superior Diesel's Solidworks 3-D CAD modeling system. They feature Superior Diesel's standard heavy duty industrial construction that has years of proven performance in demanding OEM applications. The packages are suitable for even the harshest environments including railroads, industrial sites, forests, agricultural fields, oil fields, and construction sites. Standard features on all packages include heavy duty mounting base, cooling package, air filter system, exhaust system and instrumentation.To reduce the burden of additional testing and development on our OEM customers, Superior Diesel has performance-tested each of the power unit packages in-house to assure compatibility of the air filter, instrumentation, exhaust, and cooling systems with John Deere Diesel engine application guidelines. Recent enhancements to the engine dynamometer and data acquisition systems at Superior Diesel's Rhinelander WI, test cell facility were completed to facilitate this effort.With a wide variety of engine option configurations and horsepower ratings available, the John Deere Tier III diesel engines above 100 HP are in stock for immediate shipment at Superior Diesel's Rhinelander, WI and Seville, OH facilities. In May of 2006, Superior Diesel expanded its Ohio operations by relocating to a newer, larger, state of the art engine and drivetrain logistics facility in Seville, Ohio. The new facility is located just a few miles East of the intersection of interstates 71 and 76 about 45 minutes South of Cleveland.At over 40,000 total square feet, the Seville facility will contain expanded office space to serve as a base of operations for the growing number of our engineering, sales, parts, and product support personnel. The larger shop floor area will support the growing demand for value-added power unit product assembly and also serve as an improved logistical hub for engine and drivetrain component inventory. The Seville area provides a more accessible, centralized location for improved product flow to and from our key suppliers and customers.Along with our 49,000 square foot Rhinelander, Wisconsin facility built in 2001, the new Superior Diesel Seville, Ohio facility represents our continued commitment to support our customers and growing markets with world class products and services from world class facilities.
